Description

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), stagnation of qi and blood causes pain and disease leading to disharmony in the body. Cupping invigorates local circulation of qi and blood in the area being treated, resolving swelling, pain, and tension. By drawing impurities to the surface, it removes toxins. The bruises from cupping can last a few days up to 2 weeks. The colour of bruising indicates how deep and severe the disease is, indicating more treatments to be prescribed. As treatments continue, there will be no more bruising, indicating stagnation has resolved and a successful cupping treatment.
